About Emily

Emily Kratz is a premiere ultra endurance athlete with wins and top finishes across the globe.  Emily has a been racing endurance events for the past decade.  A few recent highlights include multiple overall and AG wins at the half and full Ironman distances, first in New Zealand’s “Alps to Ocean” 300km self-supported ultra run, one of the top American female finishers at the Marathon des Sables- a 6 day self supported stage race across the Sahara Desert and is the reigning “Lead Woman” after having won Colorado’s 2021 Leadville Race series with the fastest cumulative time among five events…all at extreme mountain altitudes.

In addition to her racing background, Emily has been a dedicated supporter of military veterans. She has volunteered as both coach and supporting athlete for a number of endurance events in the United States and Europe over the past decade. She recently kayaked 55 miles from Los Angeles to, and then around, Catalina Island to benefit homeless veterans.
